golden sunrise

There are a few things as beautiful as the Golden Gate Bridge and the city of San Francisco, fog and all, at sunrise. I ventured out to the Marin Headlands at 5am for this very shot. This was the best of about 30 I took on a very cold morning. This shot is pretty much straight out of the camera. Yes, all the colours are natural. I could have edited the shot and reduced the reds but that would have taken away from the beauty of the scene. The red from the golden gate bridge was reflecting on the slight fog over the brige – thus the reddish scene all over. What a beautiful sunrise it was!

Wow! I'm headed to San Francisco for a holiday in about 4 weeks time. I hope I can get a shot as good as this.
