Nice...I love how well you've managed to capture the light on the left and right of the pic.

    beautiful!

  • PixeLuz on 17.08.2009 @ 07:03

After looking first at the lights'trails, i wonder if the most amazing thing is not the collection of white lines painted on the asphalt, these ordinary lines of our ordinary cities that compose abstract patterns here and now on the screen, which is not the normal and useful context.

    Thanks guys!

@PixeLuz Youre absolutely right. Its the lines on the road that drew me into this shot... I have a series in the works that focuses solely on the lines and road markings in Japan.

Great shot, love the glow. I would like to see an even longer exposure of this scene, with more car streams =]

  • frisky on 17.08.2009 @ 14:12

@John: I have a couple of other shots that were 1 and 1.5 min exposures but in the end, being a huge fan of minimalism that I am, i liked this one the best. This is the shot I had in my mind when I went to photograph this area.
    Cheers for the comment! :-)

Very strong shot and agree with previous comments, the road markings are an important feature that help to make this shot.

  • John Maslowski on 18.08.2009 @ 11:51

Definitely an appropriate title, superb light trails. Lovely colors and excellent exposure.

  • Arjan - PlasticDaisy on 18.08.2009 @ 12:37

I love the clarity you got in this long exposure shot. It is full of life!

  • crash on 19.08.2009 @ 18:22

    nicely done!

  • Richard Hollins on 20.08.2009 @ 08:19

This is beautifully judged. The exposure is spot on and the composition is perfect. I love the way the main light curve disappears through the bottom right corner of the frame. Great stuff. There's a really nice balance between light and darkness too.

  • rian on 20.08.2009 @ 14:34

the crispness of this night shot along with the colors really got me saying "wow, this is beautiful!" :)

  • Claus Petersen on 21.08.2009 @ 09:52

There is really a great balance and dynamic in this one, and a little long exposure always adds some wonderful life to the light in the night. :-)

I love shots with the streaking of lights at night. Very nice.

  • LightningPaul on 24.08.2009 @ 06:27

    Splendid!

Seems like one part of road is much more used than the others.

  • Philo on 12.09.2013 @ 17:42

    A great picture of lights!
