Photo Essay: Trains of Japan

Trains of Japan – A Photo Essay. Click to view the Trains of Japan photo essay.

Japan has one of the best system of subway, local and inter-city trains Ive ever seen anywhere in the world. From the local subway train to the ultra-fast Shinkansen “Bullet Trains,” they come in all sorts of different shapes, sizes and colours there. They run like clockwork and the subways, even though they are not for the claustrophobic, are the most convenient form of travel. Here Ive collected a few of my favourite shots of trains, and things around trains from all over Japan.

The coaches against the shadows gives an amazing vibrancy to the orange. And the two people in the door add a nice touch of humanity.

Full marks on the essay too.

Great photo essay. I really like the variety in the set, but they all make sense together. I think I liked the black and white ones best, but they worked particularly well because most of the set was in color.
