Great textures and lines... lots to take in here. nice.

  • Vogelmann on 31.01.2010 @ 14:33

Amazing. I can see that little drops on the boat, this is awesome. Not so awesome is that Venice is falling apart, also good to see in the shot.

    Massive work as always brother.

  • george@minimalistics on 31.01.2010 @ 16:12

Great decaying texture that contrasts with the smoothness of the gondola. It's a picture that is instantly recognisable and encapsulates the city.

Nice compo, is venice? I like the distribution of spaces

  • Otto K. on 31.01.2010 @ 19:52

  • Mark Wood on 31.01.2010 @ 22:05

Nice composition and amazing colors. You've artfully captured the texture of the walls vs. the clean lines of the gondola. Well done!

  • rian on 31.01.2010 @ 22:38

wonderfully framed! :) it looks like an image of a smirking face.. ;)

  • sherri on 31.01.2010 @ 23:04

Love the windows. The blackness of them with the blackness of the boat is striking.

  • Elaine- on 01.02.2010 @ 03:29

the building looks like it has a boat smile lol very cool impression that gives!!

  • Shawn Bierman on 01.02.2010 @ 14:05

Love the textures. I like how you've included only a portion of the gondola.

  • mike on 01.02.2010 @ 17:48

That's Venice alright! Just can't beat Venice for decay, eh? Excellent shot Faisal...Love the tones.

This has to be one of the best Venice images I have ever seen. Just fabulous composition, treatment. Just brings it all together in such a simple but rich way. Congrats on this one, be proud!

    Beautiful !

  • Arjan - PlasticDaisy on 08.02.2010 @ 16:40

That shiny boat comes out really well against that decaying wall. Like the crop of this scene very much. Leaves something to the imagination.

  • Chris on 14.02.2010 @ 21:23

Wow... just wow. There's so much in this shot to keep me looking, so many tiny little details. Great placement of the two windows, with the gondola (I'm assuming it's a gondola...) through the bottom to "anchor" the shot. The texture in the walls is the kicker.

  • LightningPaul on 16.03.2010 @ 07:36

May sound a bit strange for some people but the image above is typical for Venice. You just don't see those badly maintained walls on postcards :-)

  • Rotweiss on 26.03.2010 @ 02:14

    Very good picture!
