El Ateneo

The El Ateneo bookstore in Buenos Aires is perhaps the most beautiful bookstore Ive ever visited. Its an old converted theater and they use the stage as a coffee shop.

Well, this photo as several qualities...
The sharpness at f1.4, the amount of detail, the superb light and the freeze at 1/40 sec.
And also, the place is absolutely beautiful!

Nice shot and what a great concept. Around here we let old theaters decay and fall down.

Hay-on-Wye in the UK has many book shots, including one in an old cinema. But this one can only be described with superlatives, a wonderful idea using an old cultural icon for another art form. A super image that captures the ambience.
