There Is Always Hope

There is Always Hope – Banksy. South Bank London, UK. Taken December 2004.

[UPDATE] Since this shot was posted here and on my photoBlog – it has been stolen countless times and passed off by others as their own. This is the original. If you see this shot elsewhere, please let me know. I even saw shot this being sold online by someone else, and it even had the ‘friskyPics’ watermark on it!

[UPDATE 2] It was recently stolen again, this time by Beppe Grillo, who is a prominent Italian politician!

Very nice shot, especially I found this one via the link on One Way Photo.

It's indeed a big shame that people steel images. They could at least link to your site and add your credits on the stolen image.

I love this image and am looking for a t-shirt design encompassing, "hope" for a summer school I am part of this year. Would it be possible to work out a price for putting this image on a t-shirt for our school? It is for a summer missions school with the non-profit YWAM.

Great picture. Very well captured and the street art itself is inspiring. I would like to ask for your permission to use this image for creating a motivational poster depicting HOPE. This picture captivates the essence of the word. It is for non profit and it would be stated that the image belongs to you, the image would not be modified in any way, only resided to fit the required resolution. Thanks.

Stolen by Beppe Grillo on twitter without quoting. Beppe Grillo is a new political leader in Italy. He got 25% of the Italian vote.

I'm not much of a graffiti fan, but I do like this. It may be that Banksy's art gets a broader life because of your photography. Nicely done!

  • Jx7 on 20.01.2014 @ 11:52

Who you think you are? You say some persons stole your photo? You take a photo of an artistic paint by Banksy and so what? THIS IS NOT YOUR PROPERTY! Your kind of person make me laugh

  • Faisal on 20.01.2014 @ 12:05

@ "Jx7" Who do I think I am? Im the owner and copyright holder of this photograph, which happens to be of a wall with some graffiti on it. I took this photo more than a decade ago and I own 100% rights to this photograph. Like it or not, this work is still protected by copyright. Im sorry you cant see that simple fact. You might wanna read up on what copyright is.

Hi there- i work for a charity that supports vulnerable and disadvantaged women that are at risk of or involved in the criminal justice system. We have recently employed an outreach worker to support girls and young women in rural areas. We would like to produce a postcard for them with this picture on the front - the postcard is for us to use to write to them, tell them about the support available to them together with contact phone numbers. I understand you own the copyright to this picture and would be interested to know how much you would charge for us to use it please? Kind regards, Louise.

As a pastor preaching on "hope" this week, I would like to use this image as our worship bulletin cover this week. This would be a one time use for 100 bulletins. Could you email me an appropriate cost as I certainly do not want to infringe on your copyright? But I need it this week please. Beautiful capture of the image! Richard
