Notes

  • The elegant Japanese style roof. Here, we see a couple of examples from the Kiyomizu-dera temple and shrine in Kyoto. Unlike Chinese architecture, traditional Japanese architecture tends to be simple and dignified. The Japanese house roof typically has a shallow pitch without curves or garish ornamentation. Clay roof tiles are often used in combination with copper roofs.

  • I love the style of Japanese roof's. I see quite a few houses here styled the same way. When I build my next house this is the style off roof I'll use.
